Your Wedding Photographer
Made it perfect
Conducted by UK wedding photography platform Your Perfect Wedding Photographer, the survey aimed to gain more insight into the day-to-day activities of wedding photographers. The Survey Results revealed that while wedding photographers spend about ten hours capturing a typical full day wedding, they spend at least fourteen hours editing the same photographs. The survey also showed that they spend approximately two hours each on culling, communication, and business and administrative activities.
Couples may think the role of a photographer is to just take photos, however that is only one part with the large bulk of time spent back in the office editing. Wedding photographers are dedicated to capturing the memories of their clients’ special days. More than this, they are also dedicated to delivering images that tell a story of this special day and the emotions.
“We believe that wedding photography is about more than just taking pictures. Everyone should have their Wedding day beautifully captured into a story you can treasure for life“ said Sam, the company’s editor. “When couples are looking to book a wedding photographer it is important to understand you are not just buying photos but a story of your wedding day told through images.“
The results of the survey highlighted an increase in couples looking to purchase a wedding album where photographers can spend 2 hours creating this. Other insights for the UK market were 30% of couples looking at an outdoor wedding, and 25% having an unplugged wedding.
